Trip to London

7th June 2016

image3A group of four Key Stage 3 students recently enjoyed a residential visit to London. The group joined up with Barbara Priestman Academy to travel to London by train. The Saturday was spent visiting lots of the famous London sights, Buckingham Palace, Horse Guards Parade, Downing Street, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament as well as enjoying a great river cruise along the Thames and a flight on the London Eye. On the Saturday evening everyone had a great time at the Autism’s Got Talent performance at the Mermaid Theatre, the show was fantastic and the student’s enjoyed cheering on so many talented young people and adults with Autism. Sunday was spent exploring the world famous Hamley’s Toy shop and visiting Leicester Square and M&M world.

Everyone has a thoroughly enjoyable times with lots of first time experiences on a train, on the underground, visiting London, staying away from home for the first time.
Students also really enjoyed making new friends from Barbara Priestman Academy.
We will look forward to another successful visit in 2017!
